2024 Winter Starter League (5 Weeks)

Starter League sessions will consist of instruction followed by a game with on-ice instructors there to assist. Curlers will learn and practice the fundamentals of the curling delivery and sweeping, the rules and etiquette of the sport, and basic strategy. Curlers will also learn about the BGCC and opportunities to curl in the future. There will be 5 total sessions on Sunday afternoons at 2:45pm beginning on January 7th and ending on February 11th. (skipping February 4th).
Participants may sub in other leagues during their 5 week league. Participants may also play in any Clubspiel during that timeframe. Participants will have access to open ice when available.

Fall Starter League Extension

This league is for existing Starter League curlers that wish to join the Bowling Green Curling Club (BGCC) and complete the regular season curling in a brand new 2:45pm Sunday league. This time slot will be a mix of "graduating" Starter Leaguers as well as a group of brand new Starter League curlers. There may or may not be any cross-over between the two groups depending on how many are in each.
The price will be $200 and will include 2:45 Sunday games until the end of the season except during previously scheduled events. You will have 10 games total. You will become full BGCC members and will be able to sub in any other leagues as well as be eligible to curl in any in-club events for the rest of the season.

The Bowling Green Curling Club is the only curling club in Northwest Ohio. We curl at the Black Swamp Curling Center and new members are always welcome! Come on out and enjoy the good people and good times that occur while curling. We embrace all levels of curling from beginners to competitive and we hope to see you on the ice soon.
