Come out and learn to curl! The cost is $20 for a two-hour session led by certified curling instructors. The session consists of 15 minutes of off-ice instruction, about 50 minutes learning how to sweep and deliver stones, then it's off to play a couple of ends of a game.
Is there a minimum age to participate in a Learn to Curl Clinic?
The suggested minimum age is 14, however, if an adult participates in a Learn to Curl clinic with their child the minimum age is 10.
What time should I arrive?
Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to sign in and and change your shoes.
What do I wear? Your curling experience will be much more enjoyable if you wear the proper attire:
- Bring a clean pair of rubber soled tennis shoes to change into at the club. Dirt is the enemy of curling ice. NO BOOTS, SANDALS, or CLOGS.
- Wear loose fitting, stretchy clothing. We wouldn't recommend jeans as jeans may restrict leg movement.
- Dress in layers. The air temperature on the ice is around 40 degrees, but can get as low as 32 degrees depending on the outdoor temperature. You may get warm from sweeping and want to remove a layer of clothes.
Are spectators allowed to come and watch?
